Third rape linked to same suspect

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS The latest attack happened in the vicinity of West 158 Street and Riverside Drive at 4:00 a.m.

Police said the suspect followed the 69-year-old victim into an elevator of a residential building where he raped and robbed her.

The same suspect is wanted for sexually assaulting women in two other cases this month in Hamilton Heights.

In the first incident, the suspect grabbed the 59-year-old victim, dragged her into an alleyway where he sexually assaulted her and robbed her at knifepoint. It happened in the vicinity of West 148 Street and Broadway at 2:45 a.m. on August 1.

Then on Monday, August 10 at 1:55 a.m., the suspect followed a 23-year-old woman into an elevator in the vicinity of West 144 Street and Convent Avenue where he sexually assaulted her and robbed her.

The suspect is described as a black man in his 30's, 5'9" to 6'0", medium build, wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, and white sneakers with red stripes on the sole.
