Big Apple Greeters show tourists the sights

NEW YORK Like Sopranos' star Dominic Chianese. Dan Abatelli is a also a Big Apple greeter. They takes tourists all over the city for two hours -- to places like Arthur Avenue in the Bronx and Ground Zero. They also take tourists shopping and to restaurants.

The idea is for the greeters to show people the places they love. Chianese likes taking folks to the Bronx, where he was born. He also shows his groups his favorite cheese markets.

"It takes me back to my roots," said Dominic.

Dan Abatelli's favorite spots are under the Brooklyn Bridge, at Grimaldi's and the Brooklyn Ice Cream Company.

The Big Apple Greeter Organization is all volunteer and no tipping is allowed.
