When police arrived, they found a 29-year old man shot in the back.
Emergency crews rushed him to Queens General Hospital where he later died.
The victim was identified as Rohan Thomas of the Bronx.
He may have been attending a party at a nearby apartment building when the shots were fired, police said.
The investigation continues.
