Guns, grenades found in Hoboken home

HOBOKEN, N.J. The man who lives in the house has been taken into police custody.

The incident that began out in front of 632 Garden Street early Friday morning.

Police swooped in after a call of a man brandishing a handgun.

A search of the armed man's apartment turned up at least 20 guns and inert grenades. That discovery brought in the bomb squad and bomb sniffing dogs.

Nearby schools were also notified as a precaution and neighbors kept out of their homes for most of the afternoon.

The suspect was said to be married with adult children and a longtime resident.

His name was not immediately released.
