Parking pole saves child's life

September 22, 2009 4:54:42 PM PDT
A little girl is incredibly lucky after an out of control car nearly crashed into her. The entire incident was captured on video (above) on Sunday night in Sunnyside, Washington.

The little girl was standing on the sidewalk when the out of control Toyota flew into the air.

The Toyota struck a parking pole, lifting the rear end of the car off of the ground, striking the market, and then coming to rest on another parking pole.

The car came to rest above the girl. She was not hurt.

Had the parking pole not been there, the child would have been struck by the Toyota.

The driver was charged with reckless driving and driving with a suspended license.
