The NYPD received the second-highest volume of 911 calls ever in a 24-hour period during the weekend's storm. The department says it got 65,000 911 calls between 11 p.m. Friday and 11 p.m. Saturday.

Police say most of the calls were related to the weather.

Call volume returned to normal after midnight Saturday.

The highest volume of calls ever was on the first day of the 2003 blackout, when 96,000 calls were made to 911.

Normally, the NYPD receives about 38,000 calls in 24 hours on a Saturday.
