HARTFORD, CT The president of St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in
Hartford says it will use the money for "an array of critical
priorities." He says the donor asked to remain anonymous, but gave
the money out of gratitude for the care provided.
It's the latest of several big-money donations, including a
$12.5 million gift in 2008 from an anonymous donor to support the
hospital's health and vascular treatment services.
Saint Francis was founded in 1897 and is licensed for 617 acute
inpatient beds and 65 bassinets.
