Woman struck by car while bike riding in NJ

MADISON Police say the woman was not wearing a helmet when she was hit at the intersection of Burnett Road and Ridgedale Avenue by a green Nissan Murano Tuesday morning.

Police say she was traveling northbound on Ridgedale and the car was heading eastbound on Burnett Road when the collision occurred.

The victim was extricated from underneath the vehicle by the Madison Fire Department.

She was treated at the scene by paramedics and rushed to Morristown Memorial Hospital. She suffered leg and neck injuries.

Her condition and the cause of the accident are unknown at this time.

No charges have been filed at this time.
