Police say they saw Georgette Masi's 2008 gray colored Jeep entering onto Ridge Road in Mahwah with a flat front and rear passenger side tires.
Masi is accused of driving along the road at a slow rate of speed as the police officer ordered her to pull over through his public address microphone.
Police say once Masi pulled over, they smelled a heavy odor of alcohol on her breath.
A half empty wiskey bottle was found in the front compartment of the Jeep.
Three small children inside the vehicle were turned over to detectives as sobriety tests were administered to Masi.
Two of the children, ages 6 and 1, are Masi's children, while the third was a family friend.
All of the children are now said to be in the care of responsible guardians.
At police headquarters, Masi provided two samples of her breath which resulted in blood alcohol content BAC% of .39bac.
As a result of the arrest, Masi was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated with minor passengers, endangering the welfare of minors, open container, and reckless driving.
She was transported to an area hospital based on her high alcohol content for evaluation.
She is set to appear in Mahwah Municipal Court on June 8, 2010.
