A 67-year-old woman apparently lost control of her 2007 Honda Accord and it flipped over.
Emergency crews freed the two from the vehicle and rushed them to Jacobi Hospital where the woman was declared dead.
The passenger is currently listed in critical condition.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
