Brooklyn warehouse fire deemed suspicious

BROOKLYN

The fire started at 6:20 p.m. at 747 Evergreen Avenue.

Fire marshals now say the cause of the fire is considered suspicious. The smoke pouring from the building was intense.

It blanketed the neighborhood and the nearby subway tracks, shutting down service on the L train for 11 hours.

Firefighters were quick to get people out of harms way. More than 150 firefighters responded to the scene. Despite the intensity of the fire, there are no reports of any serious injuries.

Rosewood Inc., which makes kitchen and bathroom cabinets, operates out of the warehouse.
