Officials responded to the corner of Jamaica Avenue and 130th Street around 4:20 a.m. Saturday to find the car, a BMW, on fire.
After the fire was put out, police saw someone in the rear of the car. Authorities said the person was unconscious and had suffered serious trauma.
The victim was pronounced dead, and the cause of death is being determined. An investigation is ongoing.
