November 7, 2010 6:47:23 AM PST
On Long Island there is a new controversy in regards to a Congressional election.

The race had appeared to end in victory for Democratic Congressman Tim Bishop.

But, the Suffolk County Board of Elections discovered it misreported the vote count.

They say the unofficial tally was off by nearly 4,000 votes.

They say a routine check of the voting machine memory cards showed Republican Randy Altschuler was actually leading Bishop by just under 400 votes.

Bishop's camp has called for a recount.
