Times Square confetti filled with dreams and wishes

December 13, 2010 4:37:49 AM PST
When this year's New Year's ball drops in Times Square, so will thousands of personal wishes from people around the world.

Lots of pieces of this year's confetti will have hand-written wishes on them.

Throughout the year, the Times Square Visitors Center collects them from guests.

The confetti pieces then get posted to a special wishing wall at the center.

Every time it fills up, the wishes are taken down and saved until it's time for the ball to drop.
