LI Grinch's arrested for stealing gifts

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY

Edynson Linares, 17, and Danery Zembrano, 21, both attended a holiday party at 20 Church Street in Central Islip, on December 24.

After leaving the party, Linares and Zembrano are accused of returning to the house, breaking in through the back door and stealing Christmas gifts that were inside at approximately 4:45 a.m. on December 25.

When the family who lived at the home realized the gifts were missing on Christmas morning, they contacted the disc jockey that had performed at the party, who told the family that Linares, of 11 Blue Jay Dr., and Zembrano, of 175 Lincoln Ave., were the last ones to leave.

Upon arriving at Zembrano's house the family noticed wrapping paper and gift boxes outside of the house matching their stolen gifts and contacted police.

Following an investigation by Third Squad detectives, Zembrano and Linares were both charged with one count of 2nd Degree Burglary.

They are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on December 26.
