The city has launched a new web application that allows users to track the cab in which they left their belongings.
The Yellow Taxi Lost and Found Information app can be found at NYC.gov/311.
Type in the taxi's medallion number, which can be found on your reciept, the hood of the cab and its license plate.
The program will then direct you to the location and contact information of the taxi's garage, which is where drivers are told to bring lost items.
