Fast Five and a Prom

NEW YORK The fifth installment of The Fast and the Furious series offers more action than ever.

Although street racing is a vital part of this installment, the focus is around a heist planned by two former adversaries.

One's a former federal officer while the other's a professional criminal, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson travels to Rio to stop their plan which involves stealing a fortune of cash from a local drug kingpin.

There's no shortage of action here, which is good because none of these guys are ever going to win an Oscar saying lines that would make even the best actor sound stupid, like "money ain't freedom," and "you're going down Torreto."

Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Tyrese, and Ludacris are all part of a diverse cast. Many like Jordana Brewster are veterans of the four previous films. Together they manage to prove the franchise hasn't run out of gas!

Prom

Prom is just around the corner for many high school students so a movie by that name is timely enough, but this tame little film seems intended more for their younger brothers and sisters.

A high school prom is threatened by disaster when a fire at school destroys the decorations. The school's bad boy is ordered to help the good girl played by Aimee Teegarden. Parents of pre-teens can rest assured Prom is a safe and a sure PG kind of thing.
