The New York Daily News is reporting that the /*MTA*/ is planning to convert to a system that allows riders to use their credit cards.
Instead of swiping, you would tap your card at the turnstile, and the fare would be deducted from your account.
People without credit cards could still buy MTA cards that would also work by tapping.
The MTA says the system will save the agency millions of dollars in labor and material costs.
