Suspects sought in Midtown hotel burglary

NEW YORK

Around 9:00 Tuesday (May 24) morning, guests at the hotel alerted security of two suspicious men attempting to gain entry into rooms on the eighteenth and nineteenth floors.

As hotel security searched the floors, one suspect entered a room on the tenth floor. A housekeeper was cleaning the unoccupied room when she found the suspect hiding in a closet.

He fled the room, exiting the hotel where he was confronted by a member of the hotel's security staff.

After a brief confrontation, the suspect ran off.

The second suspect was never located.

The two men are described as follows; Suspect #1:
Black man, approximately 250 lbs, 6'3" tall wearing a dark colored shirt and vest with blue jeans.

Suspect #2:
Hispanic man, approximately 5'8" tall, wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap.
