At least 15 suspected gang members were arrested during an early morning sweep of an apartment complex on Long Island.

Federal and local authorities swept through the Old Mill Court apartment complex in Rockville Centre just after 5 a.m. Wednesday.

It was a joint operation between the FBI, Rockville Centre Police, Nassau County Police and the Long Island Gang Taskforce.

Suspects are facing a number of criminal charges, including drug possession, and will be arraigned later today in Central Islip. Many are thought to be members of the Bloods street gang.

Federal authorities joined in the effort to clean up the apartment complex, the site of several unsolved murders and other crimes. Local residents said they deridingly refer to the complex as "Iraq."
