3 sex attacks in Washington Heights since Friday

WASHINGTON HEIGHTS

The NYPD has released surveillance video of the suspect in an attack inside a /*Washington Heights*/ apartment building.

It happened at around 2:15 a.m. Saturday.

Police say the man confronted a woman with a knife on the fifth floor, then forced her up to the eighth floor where he sexually assaulted and robbed her.

Meanwhile, police are investigating another attack that happened on 184th Street and Broadway in Washington Heights.

It happened at 1:18 a.m. Sunday.

Police say a 32-year-old woman was approached by a Hispanic man who attempted to remove her underwear.

The victim struggled with her attacker and he fled.

There has been no arrest and the investigation is ongoing.

There have been two other attacks in the area, one early Friday morning and one early Saturday, at this point police do not believe any of them are related.

The first attack happened on Friday.

Police are looking for a rape suspect that attacked a woman in /*Inwood Hill Park*/ in Washington Heights.

Police say, the suspect started a conversation with the victim before forcing her into a secluded area near the ball fields at /*Inwood Hill Park*/.

Police say he then raped the victim.

The suspect, shown in the sketch above, was wearing khaki shorts and no shirt at the time of the attack.

The suspect fled the scene on a red mountain bike.
