Study: Drink-a-day women healthier

NEW YORK

The research suggests that for women, regular, moderate alcohol consumption during middle age is linked to successful aging.

That means having no major chronic diseases, physical problems or mental health problems, for women 70 years of age and older.

The authors say the one-drink-a-day women were healthier than those who abstain or drink more.
