Dancing in the Rain

November 22, 2011

Which is why we're likely leading with our Meteorologist Lee Goldberg tonight at 11. He's tracking the wet system that's heading here, starting tonight, and laying out how it will affect your travel plans for the holiday.

Also at 11, we'll have any new developments on the latest terror plot - this one involving a young man busted for allegedly plotting to blow up various New York City sites, including police stations. The New York Times has a fascinating read on why the FBI did not participate with the NYPD on this case, and it centers on the use of a confidential informant who, the feds reasoned, may have played too active a role in Jose Pimentel's planning of the plot. Some of the incriminating statements made by Pimentel, on tape, apparently happened after the informant smoked marijuana with Pimentel.

The NYPD told the Times that it hadn't heard any concerns about the informant's credibility.

In any event, chalk it up to another remarkable chapter in the ongoing drama-filled relationship between the NYPD and the FBI.

Also at 11, our Sandy Kenyon is in Los Angeles for the finals of Dancing With The Stars. He'll have interviews with the winners backstage. And our intrepid web producer Jennifer Matarese is writing her popular Mirror Ball Blog, which deconstructs the night's competition and voting. CLICK HERE for connecting to Jen's insightful musings.

We'll also have any breaking news of the night, plus Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Sade Baderinwa and me, tonight at 11.
