Sentencing day in 2008 NJ triple murder

HACKENSACK

Kang-Hyuk Choi is facing 64 years in prison for the killing of his 27-year-old friend Han-Il "Sean" Kim.

Police say Choi stabbed Kim then waited hours in Kim's room before killing Kim's mother and uncle.

Choi, of Valley Stream, N.Y., has been incarcerated since his arrest in California two days after the slayings in May 2008.

Choi admitted to killing Kim in a dispute over $30,000, then stabbing to death Kim's mother, Yoo Bok Kim, and Kim's 72-year-old uncle, Doo Soo Seo.

The bodies were found in the family's home in a quiet Tenafly neighborhood.

Choi is scheduled to be sentenced Wednesday in Hackensack.
