Breath test to diagnose lung cancer

NEW YORK

Researchers at the Cleveland Clinic used a breath analyzer.

They found the test was accurate in detecting lung cancer better than 80% of the time.

It can also differentiate between the types and stages of the cancer.

The goal is to combine the breath test with CT scans to catch lung cancer at an early stage.
