MTA extends 'no trash can' subway plan

The MTA's controversial plan to reduce garbage on subway tracks and at stations by removing trash cans is being extended another month.

The idea is that if MTA removed the bins from stations like Main Street in Flushing, Queens, that there would be less litter as a result.

But riders say they're seeing more trash, not less, especially on the tracks.
