'The Hunger Games' workout

Like most fitness classes, The Hunger Games Workout at the New York Sports Club starts with a quick warm up. Some jogging, mountain climbers, jumping jacks and then the competition begins.

The participants race to the Cornucopia to grab supplies. This includes weights, a bow, and a towel. It's a free for all, and now they're equipped for competition.

Eric Salvador runs us through this imaginary arena that simulates the action in 'The Hunger Games,' the book that's now a movie.

For the next hour, they act like tributes, as they're called in the story. Moves are also named after characters, like the Katniss Killers after the main character, Katniss Everdeen.

Periodically, the action suddenly changes just as it would in the actual book.

Mutant dogs have the tributes scrambling up an imaginary tree like the characters might.

One tribute named Brittnay not only survived, but she also won.

And she got to wear the iconic Mockingjay pin for a brief moment.
