The Hartford Courant reports (http://cour.at/INb5MK ) that Irene Van was reported to be conscious and alert after the helicopter piloted by state Rep. Bill Wadsworth crashed in a wooded area Saturday night.
Wadsworth, a Farmington Republican, was not hurt.
His website says he's a licensed helicopter pilot.
Jim Peters, spokesman for the Federal Aviation Administration's eastern region, says two inspectors are expected to investigate.
The National Transportation Safety Board has taken over the investigation.
