A grand jury indicted 47-year-old John Benstock, who is accused of having inappropriate contact with at least 14 elementary students at two schools in Locust Valley.
Investigators also believe some of the alleged assaults happened during private lessons in students' homes.
Police say all of the victims were younger than 11 years old.
