Union City home with 4 kids found filthy and without toilets

UNION CITY, New Jersey

Neighbors in Union City say the family fell on hard times and where overwhelmed, but police say that is still no way for anyone to live.

A plumber coming to fix the water pressure called police because living among all that filth was Angela and Eliyaho Nadoff and their four children ages 3, 4, 11 and 13.

"I don't think they neglect their children," said Alex Ruiz.

Alex Ruiz has known the Nadoff's for years. He and other neighbors say they love their children and must have gotten in over their heads.

Eliyaho lost his job, Angela isn't working and their oldest child has a mental disability.

The kids were taken by the Department of Youth and Family Services and thr Nadoff's were arrested.

They are charged with endangering the welfare of a child and child neglect.
