Cities going broke

August 2, 2012

There are some who think they can live without funding the government, but call someone who's the victim of a crime or fire in Stockton and they will probably argue otherwise.

I'm just sayin'.

As for tonight's 11 p.m. newscast - we're following that swimming pool-size sinkhole in Brooklyn, a medical examiner mix-up that leads a grieving family to bury a stillborn child that wasn't theirs, and the mystery of a dad who vanished swimming on Long Island but reappears hundreds of miles away.

We'll also have any breaking news of the night. Plus Meteorologist Lee Goldberg's AccuWeather forecast, and Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Liz Cho (in for Sade) and me, tonight at 11.

And one note: I'm off tomorrow. My blog will resume on Monday.
