The weapons were found during a search of an apartment on Shore Boulevard in Astoria.
Among the haul officials seized were dozens of guns, knives, machetes and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
53-year old Michael Millazzo was arrested and is now facing dozens of weapons-related charges.
Police say they were looking into a call of shots fired into the air when they made their discovery.
