Night 2 at the DNC

September 5, 2012

The Rabbi for Monica Lewinsky and her family for decades, at the temple where the world's most famous White House intern attended religious school.

Really.

You can't script this stuff.

Rabbi David Wolpe back in the day accused Clinton of hiding behind a "flinty legalistic apology" for his non-sex sex with the intern. Who planned that nifty bit of scheduling?

Meanwhile, the Democratic National Committee said today it would move Pres. Obama's acceptance speech from the 74,000-seat Bank of America Stadium to the Time Warner Cable Arena, where the rest of the convention is taking place. The official reason: The threat of rain and the possibility of drenching all those who show up.

Our Lori Stokes anchors our coverage from Charlotte tonight at 11. Mr. Clinton's challenge will be to not make it all about his 8 years in office, and talk about Pres. Obama's tenure so far.

Also at 11, the embattled New York State Assemblyman Vito Lopez is holding a town hall meeting tonight in Brooklyn. While he's trying to put out a political fire, his staff is reportedly set to hand out smoke detectors. Lopez is accused of sexual harassment of staff in Albany.

We'll also have any breaking news of the night, plus Meteorologist Lee Goldberg's AccuWeather forecast, and Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Sade Baderinwa and me, tonight at 11.
