It happened just after 3 o'clock Saturday morning on Webster Avenue in the Fordham Heights section.
The 24-year old pedestrian who was hit has severe head trauma and is in serious condition at St. Barnabas Hospital.
Police are investigating a car found blocks away from where the man was hit, near Webster Avenue and East 198th Street.
