Police say 51-year-old Robert Liguori, of Mastic Beach, recorded video of female models disrobing in the dressing room in Southampton in July.
At the time, he was taking pictures of the women in swimsuits in the Hamptons for a fashion designer.
Liguori also is accused of exposing himself to a clothing store clerk in Center Moriches earlier this month.
He is charged with unlawful surveillance.
The alleged recording occurred July 12. An intern reportedly found the camera placed on a shelf, pointed at the dressing area. The designer retrieved the footage.
Liguori is registered as a Level 2 sex offender for a conviction in 2000 related to child pornography.
