Wife, lover charged in husband's murder

PEEKSKILL, NY

/*Terrance Camper*/ was found murdered in his cab on Pine Street in /*Peekskill*/ on Wednesday, October 3.

Investigators said the victim's wife, 60-year-old /*Beatrice Camper*/, and /*John Murray*/ conspired to murder him.

Murray, also 60, allegedly lured Terrance to Pine Street under the pretense that they needed a cab. When he arrived, police say Murray shot him twice in the base of his skull with a hand gun.

Murray was on parole after serving more than 30 years for murder, robberies and other crimes. He was released 11 months ago.

According to investigators, Murray and Beatrice Camper had been having an affair for more than a year, beginning while he was still in prison.

Authorities also said Beatrice Camper took out two life insurance policies on her husband, which listed her as the beneficiary.

Both Murray and Camper are charged with murder.
