Pedestrian struck by bus, killed in Brooklyn

A person is dead after getting struck by a privately operated bus in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn.

The victim was struck at Avenue K and East 105th Street just before 7:30 this morning.

The pedestrian was trapped under the bus and pronounced dead at the scene.

The bus was operated by Hauppauge-based Rides Unlimited Nassau & Suffolk, a private company that provides rides to the disabled.
