Police say 38-year-old Julio Estrada, of Hackettstown, New Jersey, is accused of taking cash from customers as payment to fix their credit, in the hopes of purchasing vehicles.
After the victims didn't hear back from Estrada, investigators claim they contacted the owner, only to find out the suspect no longer worked for the company.
Police arrested Estrada in Queens on grand larceny charges Thursday.
