3rd arrest made in murder of Wayne High School graduate

PATERSON, New Jersey

Authorities have charged 24-year-old Bishma Cowan and 27-year-old Quashon L. Faircloth with murder and robbery in the death of 18-year-old Isaac Rinas.

Authorities earlier arrested a former Wayne Valley High School schoolmate of Rinas. Eighteen-year-old Casey Cole is charged with felony murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Authorities said Isaac Rinas' went to Paterson to buy a handgun for unknown reasons.

Cole and Cowan had prior conversations of arranging for Rinas to be robbed when he came into Paterson, police said.

At some point, police say Faircloth became involved in the robbery plan.

Authorities say Rinas drove Cole to Paterson after Rinas received his diploma from Wayne Valley High School last Wednesday.

The the other 2 men met Rinas and Cole in the area of 325 Hamilton Avenue last Wednesday.

Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes says Rinas handed over $350 to the men, stepped out of his car and was shot by 27-year-old Quashon Faircloth.

He was struck on the neck and died from his injuries.

Police have not said who they believe fired the fatal shot.

A funeral for Rinas was held on Tuesday.
