Authorities say the man, caught on camera, is responsible for at least three incidents, the most recent of which happened just after 11 a.m. August 9 on Henry Street on the Lower East Side.
The man approached the 19-year-old victim and demanded his phone. The victim complied, and the suspect fled the scene.
Similar incidents happened to a 25-year-old man who was threatened with a razor blade and a gun inside his Greenwich Village apartment building just before 4 p.m. on August 2 and a 16-year-old boy at 10 a.m. August 9 on Franklin Street, just an hour before the most recent robbery.
There were no reported injuries in any of the incidents.
The suspect is described as a black male between the ages of 17 and 25, standing approximately 5-foot-6 to 6-feet tall and weighing 140 to 150 pounds.
