Long Island house repaired after Sandy partially collapses

FREEPORT

The house in Freeport slid off its foundation Saturday night. The homeowner, William Reidman, says it swayed before coming down.

He says water flooded his home during both storms.

"I had two feet of water in the house from Irene, I had five feet of water from Sandy, tried getting permits to elevate the house, lack of money and lack of help from anybody. I did what I could on my own," said Reidman.

Work on the foundation was supposed to start Saturday. Reidman did not say what he plans to do next.
