The incident happened around 10:30 a.m. on October 14 in the vicinity of Fulton Street and Schenck Avenue in Cypress Hills.
Authorities say one of the suspects was carrying a gun when they approached the 49-year-old victim on the street.
The forcibly removed his cell phone and chain and then fled the scene.
There were no reported injuries.
The suspects are described as two male black in their late teens to early 20s.
