3 arrested for selling fake Giants vs. Cowboys tickets

NEW YORK

Commissioner Ray Kelly said the men were busted by plainclothes officers who set up a buy in the lobby on the East Side Tuesday afternoon.

The officers bought the fake tickets for $100 each and arrested 25 year old Noel Cleaver in the lobby.

As the officers left the building, they saw a suspicious Toyota with a stack of more Giants tickets inside. The two men in that vehicle drove off, with a police sergeant running behind the Toyota on foot.

The police sergeant was chasing one of the men, who had jumped out of the car, when he was struck by another vehicle at East 42nd Street between Second and Third avenues. The officer sustained a foot injury and was treated and released.

27 year old Shawndale Lewis was caught on foot shortly after. The getaway driver, 23 year old Sergio Mercado, was also taken into custody.

All three will be arraigned later Wednesday.
