A scheduled inspection found a weakened beam on the overpass along I-287 in Edison Wednesday.
One lane on the northbound side of the overpass will be closed until repairs are complete.
Both Amtrak and NJ Transit trains use the tracks below the overpass and schedules may be affected.
Northeast Corridor tickets will be cross honored on NJT buses on Thursday, November 21 due to ongoing DOT Route 287 overpass repairs.
