Fifty-one-year-old Sean Crane got the maximum Friday. According to Newsday he pleaded guilty Oct. 10 to driving while intoxicated and other crimes.
He was driving his girlfriend's car in Oceanside, N.Y. and struck a 76-year-old wife crossing the street with her 78-year-old husband.
Officials say Crane's blood alcohol content was .2 two hours after the crash. The legal limit is .08 percent.
It will be his third time behind bars for drunken driving.
