The suspension of alternate street parking

February 10, 2014

It means the streets aren't swept, the snow piles up on the edge of sidewalks, bus stops are impassable, garbage isn't collected, and cars remain buried in snow that's turned into ice. I saw a man and his young son yesterday with a pick axe, hammering away and getting perilously close to their car with the pick. Oy vey. It makes New York City look terrible, in this 21-year-year resident's opinion, and it is raising the question about why in the world the de Blasio Administration is continuing with its insistence to postpone alternate side parking. We'll have the latest at 11.

Meanwhile, Meteorologist Lee Goldberg is tracking another storm - because we need more snow right? Not! His AccuWeather forecast will time it all out, at 11.

And remember that high school student who was voted prom king - and now the school is in the middle of controversy because the student is a she? - well, tonight the Central Islip Board of Ed is deciding what to do.

We'll also have any breaking news of the night, plus Meteorologist Lee Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Sade Baderinwa, tonight at 11. And if you tire of the slippery slopes - why wait for your news? @abc7ny has your news at 11 p.m. with @billritter7 and @sadeabc
