Employee and customer slashed inside Manhattan McDonald's

EAST SIDE, Manhattan (WABC) -- An employee and another man were slashed inside an East Side McDonald's Wednesday night.

It happened inside the fast food restaurant on 58th Street and 3rd Avenue around 8:30 p.m.

Two men inside started fighting and an employee tried to break it up.

A third man then stepped in and slashed the employee in the leg, and one of the original fighting men was slashed in the torso and arm.

Both were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police are continuing to search for the suspect and there is an active investigation underway.
