Perry Russom
Perry Russom is an ABC News correspondent and co-anchor of WABC-TV's Eyewitness News Saturday and Sunday Morning.

Perry has reported on the ground covering top stories for ABC News, including the midair crash at Reagan National Airport, the 2024 Republican National Convention, and Baltimore's Key Bridge collapse.

Before joining ABC News, Perry served as a correspondent for CNBC, filing reports from across the country on disasters both natural and manmade. He covered the humanitarian crisis at the Ukraine-Poland border at the start of Russia's invasion, the elementary school shooting in Uvalde, Texas, and was among the first reporters in Fort Myers, Florida, after Hurricane Ian made landfall.

Prior to CNBC, Perry was based in Boston at WBTS-TV, where his writing and reporting on breaking news earned him three regional Emmy Awards. He also worked for WPRI-TV in Providence, Rhode Island, and WBNG-TV in Binghamton, New York.

He started in the industry when he was 18 years old as a desk assistant for KYW Newsradio in Philadelphia.

Perry is a graduate of Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where he earned dual degrees in broadcast journalism and political science. He also graduated from the Renée Crown University Honors Program.
