Photo released of suspect in shooting

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT Investigators say 22-year-old Charles Carter opened fire on a man and woman who were arguing in the hallway of a building in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section.

The 49-year-old woman, identified as Detra Young, suffered three gunshot wounds to the body and later died. The 20-year-old man was hit four times and is recovering.

There is no word from police on a motive.
