New York In the community, Walter, as a member of the Milford Sport Fishermen Club, volunteers his time helping underprivileged children from the local Boys & Girls Club. Walter and the club take these kids fishing and host an annual fishing contest for them.
Walter's dedication to the community also landed him onboard Torpedo Patrol boat 728 out of Kingston, NY as a volunteer crew member helping to bring the USS Intrepid back to its berth on October 2, 2008.
